Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Meter Tracker PK (“the app”, “we”, “our”) handles information when you use it on your Android device. It is published in plain English so you can decide whether to install the app.
1. Who we are
Meter Tracker PK is published by Amir Zubair Butt (“the developer”). For privacy questions you can reach us at amirzubairbutt@gmail.com.
2. Data the app stores on your device
Everything you enter or import is saved locally in app‑private storage on your phone (using MMKV and SQLite). It never leaves your device through the app. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes this data unless you have separately backed it up via Android’s system backup.

3. Data the app does not collect
- No account, login, name, phone number, or address is requested.
- No advertising IDs or ad SDKs are present.
- No analytics, telemetry, or crash‑reporting service is used.
- No location is collected or tracked.
- No contacts, SMS, call logs, or microphone access is requested.
4. Permissions and why we ask for them

5. Third‑party content (electricity provider websites)
The app embeds an Android WebView so you can open your provider’s official “check bill” page from inside the app. When that page loads, the provider’s servers will receive whatever your phone’s browser would normally send (your IP address, browser user‑agent, the consumer number you type or paste, cookies the provider sets, etc.). That activity is governed by the provider’s own privacy policy, not by this one. We do not log, intercept, or proxy any of that traffic.
6. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share any data with anyone. Because nothing leaves your device, there is nothing for us to share.
7. Children’s privacy
The app is a general‑audience utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children. If a parent or guardian believes a child has shared personal information through the app, please contact us — because the app stores everything locally, simply uninstalling the app erases that data.
8. Your choices and rights
- Revoke a permission at any time: Android Settings → Apps → Meter Tracker PK → Permissions.
- Delete your data by clearing the app’s storage (Settings → Apps → Meter Tracker PK → Storage & cache → Clear storage) or by uninstalling the app.
- Export your data from inside the app (the share / export features write a file to a folder you choose).
Because we do not hold any of your data on our servers, requests for access, correction, deletion, or portability under laws such as GDPR, CCPA, or Pakistan’s Personal Data Protection Bill are satisfied entirely by the on‑device controls listed above.
9. Security
App data is stored in app‑private storage that other apps on your device cannot read. Sensitive screens (where applicable) avoid rendering data to system screenshots. Because data never leaves the device, no transport encryption is required for our own infrastructure (we have none).
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles data we will update this page and change the “Effective date” at the top. Material changes will also be highlighted in the app’s release notes.
