Privacy Policy for Personal Diary
Personal Diary ("the App") is provided by Invocation Center. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, why it is used, and how it is stored.
1. Information handled by the App
Depending on how you use the App, you may provide:
- Financial transactions, including expenses, income, loans, repayments, and adjustments
- Transaction categories, dates, times, and notes
- Names and notes for people associated with transactions
- Personal journal entries, titles, dates, and moods
- Google account information when you voluntarily sign in, including your name, email address, profile photo, and Google account identifier
The App does not require a Google account for its core features.
2. Local data storage
Your diary entries, transactions, people, and related information are stored locally on your device in the App's private database.
Invocation Center does not operate a server that receives or stores this information. Your local information is not sold, used for advertising, or used to create advertising profiles.
Removing the App or clearing its storage may permanently remove locally stored information. Create a backup before doing so if you want to preserve your data.
3. Google Sign-In
Google Sign-In is optional and is used to enable Google Drive backup and restore.
When you sign in, the App may access:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your profile photo
- Your Google account identifier
This information is used only to display your signed-in account and provide backup functionality.
Google's handling of your information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
4. Google Drive backup
If you sign in and enable backup, the App requests access to the Google Drive AppData folder through the following permission:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdata
This restricted folder is available only to the App and is not normally visible among your regular Google Drive files.
A backup may contain:
- Diary entries and moods
- Financial transactions, adjustments, categories, and notes
- People and associated balances
- App database information required for restoration
Backups are uploaded directly from your device to your Google Drive account using Google's services. Invocation Center does not receive or store a copy on its own servers.
When you are signed in, the App may automatically create a backup once per day when the App is opened. You can also manually create or restore a backup from the Account screen.
5. Permissions and access
The App may use:
- Internet access for Google Sign-In and Google Drive backup
- Google Drive AppData access for storing and restoring backups
The App does not request access to your regular Google Drive documents.
6. Data sharing
Invocation Center does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
Information may be processed by Google when you use Google Sign-In or Google Drive backup. This processing is necessary to provide the optional backup and restore functionality.
The App does not currently include third-party advertising or behavioral analytics.
7. Data security
The App uses platform security features and HTTPS connections when communicating with Google services.
However, no storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and Google account.
8. Data retention and deletion
Local information
You can remove individual records through the App. You can remove all remaining local information by clearing the App's storage or uninstalling it.
Google account information
You can sign out from the Account screen. Signing out removes the locally cached account profile information used by the App.
Google Drive backup
Signing out does not necessarily delete an existing backup from Google Drive. You can manage or revoke the App's access through your Google Account:
https://myaccount.google.com/permissions
You may contact Invocation Center for guidance about removing backup information.
9. Children's privacy
Personal Diary is not specifically directed toward children under 13. Invocation Center does not knowingly collect personal information from children through its own servers.
If you believe a child has provided information inappropriately, contact us using the details below.
10. International users
If you use Google services, information may be processed in countries where Google or its service providers operate. Their handling of information is governed by their policies and applicable laws.
11. Changes to this policy
